Upcoming Upadate Plans Based on Your Feedback

Posted on 11/21 (Fri) JST

▶First, the issue that caused progression to become impossible if Story Mode characters were obtained in advance via online play will be fixed in the simultaneous update on all platforms this weekend (v1.3.0/v1.3.1).

  • ・Dissatisfaction over slower level-up speed after the experience-point bug fix.
  • ・Opinions suggesting that, since level sync exists, it should be fine for characters to level up more quickly.

▶We will adjust the balance so that even Legendary-rank characters will gain at least one level in each match.
If this still proves insufficient from the player side, we will further evaluate and refine the balance to ensure leveling feels smooth and not slow. The initial setting was indeed set too high.
[Update scheduled for version 1.4.0]

  • ・Some players have requested that, in online matches, character levels be fully synced so that both sides match exactly, as current level disparities have made it difficult to enjoy tense, evenly balanced battles.

▶Level-50 sync has already been implemented for Ranked Matches and is currently pending release. In Room Matches, you will be able to choose between the existing level sync and the Level-50 sync options. [Scheduled for ver.1.3.0]
*The ease of leveling up to 50 is currently under review.

  • ・It would be great if leveling up unlocked additional sections of the Abilearn Board, making it easier to level up special moves.

▶For competitive play, matches will utilize Level-50 Sync, with a level cap set at 50 for tournament play. At this time, there are no plans to add paths on the Abilearn Board beyond level 50.

  • ・The level stops increasing partway through?

▶The EXP cap required for leveling up was displayed with one digit missing. As a result, though EXP was being obtained, the slowed level-up pace made it appear as though characters were no longer leveling.
We will correct the display of the cap in ver. 1.3.0, and plan to raise the level-up speed through a new growth table in ver. 1.4.0.

  • ・ Route unlock battles feel too tedious, and players want to progress more quickly.

▶We are considering shortening Free Battles across all modes, which are currently around ten minutes long. We also plan to introduce an “Advance Win” rule in Chronicle Mode (excluding Chronicle Battles), allowing a match win if you establish a lead of four goals or more in the first half. Although we understand the desire to progress quickly, using your own team to challenge the next opponent remains an important part of the experience, so Route Unlock Battles will remain essential.
Scheduled for version 1.4.0 and beyond.

  • ・We are investigating measures to counter the growing number of idle players and manager-AI matches in online play.

▶We are currently developing specifications for a new mode called AI Ranked Match, where Manager AI control will be prohibited in standard Ranked Matches to prioritize manual gameplay. In this new mode, players will receive 70 percent of the experience points earned in manual play.
Scheduled for after ver. 1.4.0.
We are also considering hosting tournaments specifically for AI Matches.

  • *Versions 1.3.0 and 1.3.1 are scheduled for tomorrow, November 21.
Version 1.3.0 (Nintendo Switch / Nintendo Switch 2)
    Version 1.3.1 (Steam, PlayStation 5 / PlayStation 4 / Xbox)
  • *Version 1.4.0 is scheduled for around December 5.
(It will still be in early December even in the case of minor delays.)
